This is a nice twist on the classic left/right poem game using a version of “Twas the Night Before Christmas.”
Print out a copy of the Night RIGHT before Christmas poem to read to your guests. Have them all sit in a circle holding the gifts they brought for the gift exchange.
Read the left/right poem to the group and when the story says RIGHT each guest passes their gift to the guest on their right; when the story says LEFT, the guest pass the gift they have to the guest on their left. When the story is finished the exchange is over and the gift the guest is holding is their’s to keep.
You can read this at any speed, but the faster you read it the funnier and more crazy it becomes, so judge for yourself the way you want the game to go.
